Introduction:

The Educational Assistance Program is the largest part of the charity’s function. It uses approximately 50 percent of the entire charity program budget and houses several sub programs that cater to various educational needs.  This is the only program that employs current and former professional athletes who are responsible for the educational programs in and out of the schools.

Objective:

Every Kid Counts, Inc. is working to provide to the schools the utmost quality educational assistance program available.  We utilize the role model status of the professional athlete, community and business leaders who can offer alternatives in capturing the attention of the young “at-risk” students from all backgrounds.  In order to do this, Every Kid Counts, along with the assistance of the participating school principals, will design the criteria the athlete will use to reach out to those students who are in need of assistance. Every Kid Counts has been able to assist other educational programs that are being conducted to benefit young students reach their academic goals.

Listed below are the categories and programs, along with their proposed costs, which will be covered in this section:

1.             Athletes in the School Program

2.             Pro-Assistant Athlete

3.             Alternative Educational & Job Training Assistance:

4.             Drug and Violence Prevention Programs

These programs are very important components to the success of the Educational Assistance Program and are not limited to the budget and programming proposed.  Programming and budgeting will be updated as funding permits, thereby adapting and adding to the programs accordingly to the needs of the youth.
