Philanthropic Program

Introduction:

By providing philanthropic programs, EKC supports at-need children and gives an opportunity for youth and adults to become more involved in their community. In addition, many organizations and kid’s groups work very hard to raise funds for travel or to participate in events involving youth from other areas and cultures.  Many times these kids are unable to participate due to the inability to raise the necessary funds to attend these types of social interactions.

Objective:

It is our objective to work with other organizations and help them achieve their goals by providing them with matching grants and funds through promotions, fund raising and sponsorships.

Proposed Programs:

There are many types of enrichment an d philanthropic programs, which can be set to provide social interaction with youth of all ages.  The following is a list of programs Every Kid Counts, Inc. can provide:

1.      Social Interaction - this is accomplished through social programming, i.e. dances, school exchanges, tickets to professional athletic events, concerts, cultural events and locations, etc.

2.      Annual Kid Conferences - An annual conference inviting kids from all over the state, to deal with issues that face our youth in today’s society.   This conference would cover drug and alcohol awareness, gang violence, youth leadership and a host of other topics to be introduced as deemed necessary.

3.      Kids Helping Kids Mentoring Program - Kids working as peer leaders to support the efforts of their peer in an out of the school setting.  This program will provide the opportunity for the participating youth to also work in the community.

4.  Holiday Events - Many times throughout the year our ever growing volunteer core assists in providing special events to under privilege children around the State.  These events include Easter events at various parks, Halloween Events, Annual Christmas Parties held for children from single parent households, (In conjunction with the Single Parents Association) and an annual Food and toy drive for children of homeless, adopted or poor families.

  1. Matching Grants Program - Provide minimal funding to organizations seeking assistance for special events and trips that will introduce and expose the youth to ideal cultural environments for educational and social development.
