Feeding Phoenix Hunger Relief Food Distribution

For many years, Every Kid Counts has provided valuable support to the youth throughout the Creighton Unified School District Community and other community-based programs throughout the Southwest.

Given the challenges we are all faced with the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, Every Kid Counts with the support of the Arizona Major League Alumni are doing what we can to assist kids and families in need who have been greatly affected by the tragic situation with loss of income.

Therefore, EKC is accepting monetary donations to purchase bulk items that can be picked up and systematically delivered to a drop and go point and sorted for delivery in the Creighton Community. EKC is working in partnership with the Creighton Community Foundation (CCF) and the Midwest Food Bank
to accomplish this task with a grab and go or a porch drop of the items, while adhering to the CDC policies and guidelines.

We have reached out to our community partners to find out what the biggest needs are to assist the
kids and families in our CUSD Community. Listed below are the items that have been requested:

  • No Perishable Food Items
  • Fruits and Vegetables
  • Baby Formula/Food
  • Diapers (All Sizes)
  • Other essential items

As of June 13th , EKC and CCF have completed its five rounds of purchases and distribution of over 1,100 boxes of food for families in the Phoenix area. We are seeking additional participation by helping us with a contribution to purchase more of the above products to distribute out to more families in the next coming weeks.
